A sincere Ghanaian individual demonstrated remarkable honesty by returning a substantial sum of 100,000 GhC (equivalent to N6.48 million) that he discovered while taking a taxi at a filling station.
According to reports, this unemployed man hailed a taxi at a filling station in Nima, intending to travel to Abossey Okai in Ghana. During the ride, he noticed a polythene bag left in the backseat of the taxi.
Instead of keeping the money for himself, the man chose the path of integrity. He decided to visit a local radio station, Adom 106.3FM, with the intention of finding the owner. Additionally, he found an ID card and a key inside the bag, which further motivated him to ensure the money was returned to its rightful owner.
When questioned about why he didn’t keep the substantial amount of money for himself, particularly given his unemployment, the man emphasized that such an action would contradict his deeply held values, as it wasn’t how he had been brought up.
In an online video, the man can be seen being interviewed at the radio station. During the interview, he disclosed that he holds a secondary school certificate.
