Renowned Nigerian comedian Maruf Abdullah Adisa, professionally known as Trinity Guy, has made a significant shift away from his controversial pranks, which previously led to his incarceration a few months ago.
In a recent comedy video gaining traction on Instagram, Trinity Guy, an Ibadan-based comedian, collaborates with his fellow comedian, Cute Abiola.
It’s worth recalling that Comedian Trinity Guy faced legal trouble and was detained by the police due to his provocative pranks, including a skit that raised concerns involving a 10-year-old girl.
Moving away from his prior provocative content, Trinity Guy, in his very first comedy skit after his release from prison, demonstrates his versatility.
The storyline of the comedy video revolves around Cute Abiola battling a health condition, visibly experiencing severe cold and shivering. Cute Abiola reaches out to his friend Trinity Guy for assistance, requesting N5,000 for medication. In response, Trinity Guy, seated in a car with a female companion and counting a substantial amount of money, claims not to have any funds on him.
As Cute Abiola pleads for N2,000, Trinity Guy insists that he has no money, even though he visibly counts money and humorously demonstrates his apparent financial constraint by asking for a mere N100 from the ailing Cute Abiola.
Later in the comedy video, a dramatic twist occurs when Cute Abiola is declared dead, and this news is conveyed to Trinity Guy.
Swiftly, Trinity Guy rushes to confirm the unfortunate news of his friend’s passing and is seen shedding insincere tears, promising to give Cute Abiola a lavish burial. In his words, he says, “If you call me, something like this won’t happen to you. I’ll make sure your burial is grand. I promise you 7 cows, 70 bags of rice, 70 gallons of table water, and everyone will eat and be joyful.”
However, the unexpected happens as Cute Abiola miraculously wakes up from his supposed death and proceeds to deliver a series of heavy slaps to Trinity Guy in an aggressive manner, accusing him of showing fake affection. He exclaims, “I asked you for help, and you didn’t assist me. Get out of here, you foolish person.”
Following this altercation, Cute Abiola amusingly returns to his “death” once more.
