Prominent Nigerian actors and filmmakers, including Adebayo Salami, Saidi Balogun, Femi Adebayo, Kunle Afolayan, and Dayo Amusa, were in attendance as Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, performed the groundbreaking ceremony for the Lagos Film City. The event took place on a sprawling 100-hectare piece of land situated in Ketu-Ejirin, Epe, with an estimated cost of $100 million.

In a video shared by Oga Bello, he expressed gratitude to Governor Sanwo-Olu for his significant support to the entertainment industry. Femi Adebayo also shared a video from the event and expressed his excitement about the ambitious project, a collaboration between the Lagos State Government and Del-York International Group, set to transform Ejirin, Epe into a modern film hub.
