The revered title of “Olori Omo Oba Akile Ijebu” was graciously bestowed upon K1 by the Awujale of Ijebu Land, HRM Oba (Dr.) Sikiru Kayode Adetona, Ogbagba Agbotewole II. This title was previously held by the late Balogun and symbolizes the strength and dignity of the Ijebu people.
Kwam 1 emerged from a seven-day traditional rite on the 24th of September, 2023, signifying his acceptance of the title. His attainment of this prestigious honor is a testament to his significant contributions in elevating the reputation of Ijebuland and, by extension, the entire Yorubaland.
Before receiving this latest accolade, Kwam 1 had already been honored with the title of Mayegun of Yorubaland, solidifying his status as a highly respected figure in the Yoruba community.
