Veteran Nollywood actress Yemi Adeyemi, professionally known as Suara, has passed away.
The family of the veteran actor released an official statement, announcing that Suara passed away on Sunday, September 25th, 2023. However, they did not disclose the cause of his death.
Suara became a household name, particularly for his role in the Super Story series titled “Oh Father! Oh Daughter!” In this series, he portrayed the character of a polygamist married to Bukky Wright and Sola Shobowale as his second wife. His memorable performances in this and other projects endeared him to many in the Nigerian entertainment industry.
The family’s statement regarding Suara’s passing is as follows:
“FAMILY STATEMENT
It is with a heavy heart but with total submission to God that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, Oluyemi Lawrence Adeyemi (Suara), who went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 24, 2023. We are consoled because we know that he has gone to rest.
We kindly request that the family be allowed some privacy in this time of grief. More details about the burial will be communicated soon.
