Nigerian crossdresser Bobrisky has shared his perspective on the recent mass arrest of individuals allegedly involved in a homosexual wedding ceremony in Delta State. According to reports from Naijalegit, the Delta State Police Command apprehended more than 100 individuals who were participating in the said gay wedding at a hotel within the state.

This incident highlights the well-known anti-gay law that was put into effect during the tenure of Former President Goodluck Jonathan. This law imposes a 14-year prison sentence on individuals found guilty of engaging in same-sex activities. The Nigerian government previously tested this law in December 2019, when they arraigned 47 men who were arrested in a Lagos hotel for publicly displaying affection towards members of the same sex.

In this recent case, approximately 100 men were arrested and subsequently paraded for their involvement in the gay wedding. Bobrisky, in response to the news, expressed satisfaction with the law that prohibits homosexual relationships. He questioned why the individuals in question did not consider relocating to a more accepting country, given Nigeria’s stance against homosexual affairs. He described the news as the most positive development of the week and asserted that the individuals faced the consequences they deserved.

Bobrisky’s comments were directed at the individuals who were arrested, suggesting that the situation served as a lesson for them. He noted the existence of a law that prohibits same-sex marriage in the country, and he wondered why the individuals chose to organize a wedding knowing this. He suggested that if someone feels a deep connection with their partner and wishes to be together, it might be wise to move to a place where their relationship would be more welcomed.
