Just a few hours ago, Intel Region had reported the unfortunate news that Wizkid, whose real name is Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, has lost his biological mother to the cruel hands of fate.
Wizkid’s mother, Mrs. Balogun, passed away on Friday, August 18th, 2023, around 1:30 PM. Confirming this sorrowful event to Intel Region, Wizkid’s long-serving manager, Sunday Aare, shared that Mrs. Jane Dolapo Balogun, Wizkid’s mother, breathed her last in the early hours of that Friday.
“Yes, she passed away this morning, around 1:30 am,” Aare confirmed.
Nevertheless, an old video clip showcasing Wizkid’s profound affection for his late mother has sparked a flurry of discussions online.
In the video, Wizkid brought his late mother onto the stage and serenaded her with a heartfelt song. The duo exuded a remarkable chemistry, with the mother exhibiting remarkable dance moves.
