Nollywood actor Lateef Adedimeji was overcome with emotion during the screening of “Jagun Jagun.”
Naijalegit had previously reported that Femi Adebayo introduced his recent project, a collaboration with the streaming service Netflix, last month.
The filmmaker hosted a screening on Wednesday evening that drew a substantial number of celebrities.
During the event, Lateef, who was also part of the movie’s cast, delivered a speech and became emotional.
He conveyed his heartfelt appreciation to Femi Adebayo, sharing that he faced immense challenges while shooting the film, including the adversity of filming with a broken leg. He nearly lost hope, but Femi Adebayo’s unwavering support and encouragement kept him going.
He shared that while on set, he often found himself tearing up due to the pain, and Femi consistently provided him with encouragement.
“I want to express my gratitude, sir. It was a challenging journey from the very first action as I broke my leg. Throughout the filming, I was in constant pain. When the director called ‘action,’ tears would start flowing. Femi Adebayo would stand by me and offer words of encouragement, saying, ‘You can do it,’ and indeed, we accomplished it.”
