Ayoola Akinyoola, also known as Kamo, a popular skit maker and content creator, recently shared his journey of raising funds for veteran celebrities and the surprising response from his fans.

In a recent interview, he admitted contemplating stopping the fundraising efforts, but the tremendous support from his dedicated fans convinced him to continue.

“In his own words, he shared, ‘I reached a point where I wanted to stop soliciting funds for veterans. However, even during that break, people kept sending me messages, some even asking when I would be bringing the next person to support.

Their eagerness to help inspired me to continue.’ The comedian was taken aback when he discovered that veteran actor Fatai Adetayo, known as Lalude, who had dedicated over 50 years to the industry, never owned a car.

On a set in Lagos, he asked Lalude about his car, only to learn that he had never owned one. This revelation prompted him to dedicate himself to helping Lalude and other veteran entertainers, with the intention to persist in his efforts.”

Offering advice to younger entertainers, the content creator emphasized the importance of investing, knowing that fame may not last forever. Being prepared for fame is crucial to making the most of it when it arrives, and hard work is essential to success.

Additionally, Akinyoola highlighted the lucrative nature of skit-making and content creation, stating that he leads a comfortable life and can afford anything he needs.
