Bintu Balogun, the gifted daughter of the renowned Nigerian actress Madam Saje, recently discussed the advantages she enjoys in her blossoming acting career due to her famous mother’s legacy.
In an exclusive interview with R, Bintu expressed her happiness about the recognition that Nollywood is finally receiving. She emphasized that the industry is evolving with innovative content and productions, making it competitive on a global scale.
Bintu officially entered Nollywood as a professional filmmaker in 2012 after undergoing training. When asked about her mother’s influence on her career, she acknowledged it as a blessing. While recognizing that it isn’t a guaranteed path to success, Bintu explained that her mother’s reputation has provided her with valuable opportunities and immediate attention from filmmakers eager to witness her talent.
However, she also shared that at times, the special treatment she receives can be uncomfortable, as some directors may appear overly cautious due to her mother’s influence. Nonetheless, Bintu appreciates the growth and learning opportunities her mother’s strict work ethic provides her.
