On her verified Instagram page, popular Nigerian skitmaker Taaooma, professionally known as Maryam Apaokagi-Greene, has sparked humorous responses from netizens with her latest video about Ilorin people.
In the video, she shares her encounter with an Ilorin neighbor, a topic that she humorously explores along with her husband.
The skit features a scenario where Taaooma and her husband are in their living room when an Ilorin woman enters to ask for seasoning and salt.
While searching for Maggi, the woman, donned in a black hijab, inadvertently reveals her Ilorin background by mispronouncing the seasoning as “Manji.”
After gently correcting her, the Ilorin woman, who initially came for seasoning and salt, gets sidetracked and starts engaging in irrelevant conversations.
Eventually, her son, Quadri, is heard shouting “Mummy” as “moinmi,” rushing in to announce that the food is engulfed in flames.
Taaooma captioned the video with:
“When you have an Ilorin neighbor next door.”
