“This is real love”- Teacher shares heartwarming note she received from student

A secondary school teacher shares the heartwarming resumption note and token she received from a student following the holidays.

The teacher, known on Twitter as Adaobi Amadi, shared how her student welcomed her after resuming at school on the social networking platform.

She mentioned that upon resuming at work, one of her students welcomed her with a hug and then slipped a note into her hand.

Teacher Adaobi Amadi said that at the time she had been busy with stuffs that she hadn’t the time to look at the note.

When she finally did, she found a touching note, with three hundred naira placed between the sheet.

In the note, the student wished the teacher a happy Resumption Day, and went ahead to pray good things into the life of the teacher.

Adaobi Amadi said that she was touched by the gesture, but considers giving back the money to the kid since her family isn’t particularly rich, and the money could’ve been her transport fare.

Sharing the post, the teacher wrote …

“Earlier today, a student slipped this folded note into my hand after giving me a hug.

I was very busy at the time so I didn’t open it. I just put it in my bag and later forgot about it.

I was checking my bag now, saw the note and opened it.

It’s such a beautiful gesture… but I’m thinking to return the money (with a little extra ofcourse). She’s not a ‘rich kid’ and this might have been her transport money or something.

But I’m wondering… wouldn’t it hurt her feelings if I return it?

Also, wouldn’t adding extra make other students think this might be a potential money doubling scheme for them to cash out from?😩😄

What to do?”
