Nollywood actor Adeniyi Johnson has addressed online reports suggesting that he has a teenage child. The married father of two, whose wife is Seyi Edun, was accused of having a teenage child, supposedly an upcoming actress in the Yoruba film industry.
Adeniyi Johnson took to his Instagram page to dismiss the claim, clarifying that the lady in question, Fisayomi Abebi, is his goddaughter in the industry.
He extended his prayers for her continued growth and success, stating, “Facebook people oo!! @fisayomi_abebi keep growing and winning, my daughter.”
In his comment section, many noted the prevalence of false news on Facebook.
Actress Moyo Lawal wrote, “See, Facebook people cannot make heaven.”
One Semiloore wrote, “Is Facebook a joke to you? That community has its own problem.”
One Peaches Cakes n Cream wrote, “Another set of people dey Facebook, to be honest!”
One Missy Fabby wrote, “The way I hate Facebook, ehn.”
One Olori Olatoke Adunni wrote, “Lolz baba Gbogbo aye. Fisayo na every actor and actress daughter, Facebook wahala.”
One Murtala Kaffy wrote, “Facebook people are an entire set of people.”
One Nollywood Citadel wrote, “Facebook people will humble you.”
One I Am Martini wrote, “Facebook is another world.”
One Sakirat Oyeronke wrote, “Facebook people will tell you what you don’t know about yourself.”
Adeniyi Johnson isn’t the sole celebrity who has faced such incidents. A few months ago, actress Eve Esin responded to viral Facebook news falsely claiming she had welcomed a child after 12 years of marriage.
Eve, on her Instagram page, refuted the news, clarifying that the circulated pictures were from different movie sets. She emphasized that marriage and childbearing would happen in God’s time, and she would make noise about it when the time comes.
In a similar incident last year, Adeniyi Johnson addressed photos and a video circulating online showing him spending time with another lady.
The lady had shared the content with a romantic caption, leading fans to accuse him of infidelity. Johnson explained that the lady was merely a fan who later decided to be mischievous. Surprisingly, Seyi Edun, his wife, responded positively to his clarification.
