Earlier, Naijalegit reported that Nigerian actress Kemi Afolabi is deeply mourning the recent loss of the late actor Murphy Afolabi. She expressed her grief and heartfelt tribute to her late colleague and dear friend on her social media platforms.

In her tribute, Kemi Afolabi shared her profound sense of loss, saying, “I remember you ‘Omo baba mi,’ as we fondly called ourselves because we share the same surname, even though we are from different states and not related by blood. Murphy, I appeared in many of your productions, as you did in mine. We became friends because time proved to me that you were a staunch admirer of my craft since I joined the industry. Always on time to support me, post my works, celebrate my birthdays, and share in every positive news about me.”

She recalled Murphy’s words of encouragement during her health challenges and how he rallied support for her. She continued, “The handsome, fashionista, self-confident, intentional, storyteller, actor, producer, and director of all times, Murphy Afolabi that I knew would never want to die untimely! So sad that you bid the world goodbye too soon.”

Kemi Afolabi also shared how Murphy was the first to inform her about her nomination for an award in Canada and how he always tried to include her in industry events. Despite their occasional differences, she remembered Murphy as a sweet soul who would mend any issues between them.

Expressing her sadness at never seeing him again in this life, Kemi Afolabi concluded her tribute with, “Till we meet to part no more, Olawale, keep resting in your Lord’s bosom 💔 #iMissU😇.”
