Afrobeats sensation David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, recently expressed his distress about feeling targeted for kidnapping. He shared this concern on his verified X platform page, revealing that both his manager and lawyer are threats to his life.
This comes in the wake of a heated exchange between Davido and Dammy Krane, which escalated into a trending Twitter conversation as they engaged in a public dispute.
Over the past year, Dammy Krane has gained attention for repeatedly calling out Davido over unpaid royalties stemming from their previous musical collaboration.
Recently, he accused Davido of luring singer Idowest away from his record label to join DMW. In addition, he playfully poked fun at Davido’s nickname, referring to him as “Owe owe one” instead of “OO1.”
In response, Davido chastised Dammy Krane, referring to him as ungrateful. He recounted how he accommodated Dammy Krane for weeks in his Atlanta house, provided him with food, and even contributed three verses to three of Dammy Krane’s songs without seeking any compensation.
Davido went on to insist that Dammy Krane should now pay up for everything he has done, adding that a verse from him would cost $150,000.
Dammy Krane, in his retort, criticized Davido for tweeting like a child, which only fueled Davido’s aggression in his tweets.
Aware that his manager, Asa Asika, and lawyer, Bobo Fred Ajudua, were attempting to retrieve his phone to address the online commotion, Davido humorously wrote, “Asa n Bobo wan kidnap me ooo help 😂.”
