Renowned Nollywood actress, Moyo Lawal, has addressed the viral leaked bedroom tape that circulated online.
This incident led to Moyo Lawal gaining significant attention due to a video of her in an intimate situation with a man.
In her response, she clarified that the video was recorded while she was unwell, and the man in the video only started recording after the act had begun.
She also shared her perspective on her interactions with men, expressing gratitude for the positive experiences she has had. Moyo Lawal noted that men have consistently treated her kindly without expecting anything in return.
She expressed, “Until a lioness tells her story, every hunter will continue to be a hero. People often perceive quiet and non-problematic individuals as foolish. However, I believe it’s time for me to start speaking up.”
Moyo Lawal continued, “One thing I can tell you for sure is that things are rarely what they seem. I only had intimacy twice last year, and one of those times was the video. I agreed to it because the recording started after the act. He doesn’t live in Nigeria, and he had put in a lot of effort to gain my trust over the years.”
“So much so that we were already working towards buying a house, getting married, and more. That’s why I had to break up with him last year when I started having communication issues, because I put my entire life on hold when I’m in a relationship.”
“I’ve made many sacrifices by turning down numerous dating offers, spending 90% of my adult life alone, and choosing to be alone. All to have an unfortunate video, recorded while I was unwell, hanging over my head.”
Moyo Lawal clarified, “For those who believed the foolish narrative that I released the video because I didn’t point fingers or engage in trash talk, and I chose to stay quiet to resolve it quickly, I honestly don’t know what to tell you.”
She concluded, “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger and changes you. I pray I become carefree and outgoing because living life the right way has shown my enemies who’s boss.”
