The red carpet at the premiere of Kunle Afolayan’s latest movie, “Ijogbon,” witnessed the presence of A-list celebrities from the movie industry. The event, held at Film House Circle Mall in the Lekki area of Lagos State, marked the debut of this highly-anticipated movie, set to premiere on Netflix on October 13th.
The premiere of “Ijogbon” was a glamorous affair, with numerous notable figures from the Nigerian entertainment industry in attendance. Renowned celebrities from the film industry, including Femi Adebayo, Sola Sobowale, Taooma, Aisha Lawal, Tunde Kilani, and other actors, skit-makers, directors, and producers, gathered to show their support for Kunle Afolayan, a highly-respected filmmaker in Nigeria.
“Ijogbon” follows the adventures of four teenagers who stumble upon a bag full of diamonds but choose to conceal it, a decision that leads to regret later on. The film explores universal human emotions shaped by distinct cultural backgrounds and beliefs. Additionally, it provides insight into the lives of teenagers in rural areas and their aspirations for a better life, even if it means leaving the country.
The movie boasts a talented cast, including Bimbo Manuel, Gabriel Afolayan, Sam Dede, Tana Adelana, Yemi Solade, Bolaji Amusan, Femi Adebayo, Yemi Sodimu, Femi Branch, Adunni Ade, and others.
