Afrobeats artist and new father, Davido, has broken his silence in the wake of the birth of his twins.

It’s no longer a secret that the singer and his wife, Chioma, have welcomed twins, a son and a daughter.

While the couple hadn’t officially confirmed the news, Davido dropped hints in his song “In The Garden,” where he referred to his wife as “Mama Ibeji” (mother of twins) and had earlier tweeted that this week would be the best of his life.

His brother, Adewale Adeleke, also expressed gratitude to God on Twitter, further fueling the speculation.

Now, the news has been verified as a video of Davido and Chioma leaving the hospital with their twins has surfaced online.

Davido, who tragically lost his son Ifeanyi last year, took to his Instagram to share a post with the message, “Tell your storm how big your God is.”

Numerous celebrities have extended their heartfelt congratulations to the couple on the joyous arrival of their twins. Among those who expressed their happiness were Iyabo Ojo, Junior Pope, Daddy Freeze, Victoria Inyama, and Susan Peters.

Iyabo Ojo offered her prayers and well wishes for the new parents.

Susan Peters highlighted how God bestowed double blessings after their past pain, affectionately referring to them as ‘Papa and Mama Ejima’ and rejoicing with the couple.

Junior Pope acknowledged that God is indeed the greatest and attributed all glory to Him.

Victoria Inyama, overjoyed by the news, revealed that she woke up to the announcement of the twins’ birth, which she saw as a testament to God’s supremacy. She acknowledged the couple’s challenging journey, from the trauma of losing a child to facing unwarranted criticisms. She expressed concern about their mental, emotional, and psychological well-being but believed that greatness often comes with substantial trials.

Furthermore, investigative journalist Kemi Olunloyo, who confirmed the rumors, shared details about the twins’ birth. Kemi revealed that Chioma gave birth to twins, a boy and a girl, on Monday, 9th October 2023, at Grady Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia, through a cesarean operation (CS) at 38 weeks, following her 90-day bed rest.
