The award-winning Nigerian singer, professionally known as Wizkid, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, has reappeared on Instagram after the passing of his mother.
Wizkid, renowned for his hit song “Essence,” has updated his verified Instagram profile picture to one of his late mother.
Recalling, on August 18th, 2023, Intel Region reported the unfortunate loss of Wizkid’s biological mother, Jane Dolapo, to the cruel hands of death.
The passing of Wizkid’s mother had a profound impact on the singer, leading to the postponement of his 5th album, “More Love Less Ego” (MLLE) tour.
While Wizkid has been seen attending fashion shows in the UK and Italy lately, he continues to mourn the loss of his beloved mother.
As a tribute, he removed his profile picture from his verified Instagram page, which boasts 17.7 million followers, and replaced it with an image of his mom.
