The mother of the late singer Mohbad has finally come forward to speak about her son’s tragic demise.

During an emotionally charged interview, Mohbad’s mother expressed her profound grief over the loss of her talented son. She began by dispelling any notions that her son’s death occurred due to natural causes, strongly implying that there was a darker and more sinister aspect involved.

She stated, “I am Mohbad’s mother, Promise Oladimeji Emmanuel Ayobami. I want to make it clear that I am alive and in good health. However, it’s not easy for a grieving mother to find the words to speak after losing her son. I may not be aware of all the details surrounding his death, but I firmly believe that my son’s passing was not a natural occurrence. He was taken from us by another person, and whoever is responsible for my son’s death will not find peace.”

“I am alive, but it’s not worth discussing my son’s death. What can I possibly say? All I know is that since he associated with Naira, my son didn’t have peace. During those times when they spread false accusations against him, I couldn’t speak out because I lacked the power to do so.”

Ever since the controversial videos and speculations about Mohbad’s death began circulating on social media, Naira Marley, known for his street-oriented music and provocative comments in the entertainment industry, has experienced a significant decrease in his social media followers.

This sudden decline in his fan base is largely attributed to the controversies surrounding his perceived involvement in the tragic passing of fellow artist Mohbad.

The drop in Naira Marley’s follower count has been evident, decreasing from 7.4 million to 7.3 million yesterday. Currently, his follower count stands at 7.2 million as of today.

It appears that the trend of netizens unfollowing Naira Marley is likely to continue in the foreseeable future.

One of the primary reasons for this decline in his followers is the controversy surrounding the untimely death of Mohbad. Since the passing of the promising young artist, a cloud of suspicion and blame has loomed over Naira Marley.

The scrutiny on Naira Marley’s role in the tragic events intensified when a viral video emerged, showing Mohbad being assaulted before his demise.

The situation escalated when a petition to ban Naira Marley’s music label, Marlian, garnered over 50,000 signatures. This petition, initiated in the aftermath of Mohbad’s death, has gained significant traction, highlighting the public’s deep concern and dissatisfaction with the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Adding to the controversy, Sam Larry, an aide and close friend to Naira Marley, deactivated his Instagram page after being exposed for his involvement in the assault on Mohbad. The online video depicted Mohbad, in a wheelchair, shooting a music video with Zlatan when Sam Larry interrupted the shoot, wielding a machete and other weapons.

In an attempt to address the situation, Naira Marley released an official statement expressing his desire to uncover the truth about Mohbad’s death. In the statement, he emphasized the absence of animosity between him and the late artist, referring to Mohbad as a brother.

However, a recent press release from Mohbad’s team contradicts this claim, revealing that Mohbad had taken legal action against Marlian Music, Naira Marley’s record label, in pursuit of unpaid royalties.
