Lagos socialite and Naira Marley’s close associate, Sam Larry, nearly assaulted Mohbad but was prevented by Zlatan Ibile. The petition also outlined the physical abuse suffered by Mohbad and the damage to musical equipment valued at N5 million. PETITION OF THREAT TO LIFE, MALICIOUS DAMAGE OF PROPERTIES VALUED AT THE SUM OF FIVE MILLION NAIRA, ASSAULT OCCASIONING HARM, OPPRESSION, AND CONDUCT LIKELY TO CAUSE BREACH OF PEACE
I, Aloba Promise Oladimeji, of the aforementioned name and address, a law-abiding citizen and musician, hereby bring to your attention a grievous matter involving the assault and threat to my life by individuals identified as follows: Samlarry Elegushi, Elele Obele, and others.
On the 25th of June, 2023, while I was engaged in a music video shoot with another artist named Zlatan Ibile, the aforementioned individuals, numbering about fifteen, led by Samlarry Elegushi, forcefully entered the premises armed with dangerous weapons such as firearms and machetes. They disrupted the entire video shoot, causing extensive damage to the equipment I was utilizing for the shoot, which is estimated to be worth Five Million Naira. During this incident, they proceeded to issue life-threatening verbal threats, subsequently escalating into physical violence as they assaulted me. Consequently, I sustained injuries during the assault but narrowly managed to escape.
Enclosed with this petition are photographs depicting the damages incurred. The total amount expended for the now-destroyed video shoot is Eight Million Naira (N8,000,000), which is non-refundable. Furthermore, during the assault, the perpetrators boasted that they were acting on behalf of Oba Elegushi and that they had been instructed to deal with me for reasons known only to them. To date, they continue to threaten my life, promising to kill me upon sight.
Sir, I earnestly implore your esteemed office to intervene promptly to safeguard my life from the aforementioned individuals and ensure that they are brought to justice. I extend my sincere gratitude for your timely attention to this matter.
