Renowned actor Jide Kosoko recently reminisced about his first wife, the late Alhaja Sherifat Abimbola Kosoko née Lawal, who passed away 30 years ago. Taking to his official Instagram page, he shared a poignant photo of her and recalled the year 1993 when he lost her.
In his heartfelt post, Jide Kosoko wrote:
“Today marks the 30th anniversary of my beloved wife, my first love, the mother of my eldest children, Late Alhaja Sherifat Abimbola Kosoko née Lawal.
Death often feels like a distant rumor until it claims someone dear and precious to us. When I lost you in 1993 to the cold grip of death, it was a painful experience.
You were my wellspring of joy, happiness, and a vital pillar in our family. Even though years have passed since your departure, certain moments and circumstances still evoke your cherished memories.
I believe you are with me in spirit, as the Yoruba saying goes, ‘Oku olomo ki sun.’ Continue to Rest In Peace, my beloved.”
