A 10-year-old Nigerian schoolboy emerges as the winner among 782,000 students, winning a multimillion-naira prize.

Odumuboni, a young schoolboy hailing from Nigeria, has achieved a remarkable feat by emerging as the top winner among 782,000 students in a competition.

His achievement came in the prestigious 2022–2023 Toyota Dream Vehicle Art Contest, where he secured the first prize.

A 10-year-old Nigerian student from Corona School in Gbagada, Lagos, distinguished himself by triumphing over 782,852 participants hailing from 90 nations to clinch the prestigious award in the 2022/2023 session.

Odumuboni’s innovative waste converter solution captured the attention of global judges, who deemed it the most outstanding due to its potential to assist nations, particularly in Africa, in food production and environmental preservation.

The young champion received a $5,000 cash prize, a plaque, and a certificate during a special event organized by Toyota Nigeria Limited. Additionally, his school was presented with $10,000.

The nine national champions who were shortlisted will have the opportunity to travel to Japan with their winning artwork to compete against other winning entries from across the globe.

Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC), Japan, hosts this competition annually, inviting students worldwide to envision and sketch their ideal vehicles using their creative ideas.
