Wishing the esteemed Yoruba actress, Grace Owoola Oyin-Adejobi, fondly known as Iya Osogbo, a joyous birthday today as she celebrates her birth on August 23, 1930.

Her illustrious career spans over three hundred stage plays, in addition to several home videos and films. Among her notable stage performances are “Hannah’s Trial and Triumph,” “The Gospel Fruit in Osogbo,” “Kuye,” “Laniyonu,” “Ekuro-Oloja” (The Royal Palm Nut), and “Itoju Kunle” (Taking Care of Kunle).

Her presence was also a regular delight in the television series “Kootu Asipa,” where she was recognized as Lagbenjo Iya Osogbo.
