Late last year, Naijalegit reported that Basketmouth and the mother of two of his children, Elsie Okpocha, had parted ways.
The award-winning comedian made the announcement of their marriage’s end on his verified Instagram page. He assured that they would co-parent peacefully to care for their children and requested the public to respect their privacy, without giving specific reasons for the divorce.
The news surprised many, considering how the comedian was known for his humor and expensive jokes.
Elsie seemed unfazed by the announcement and instead shared a public statement related to a trending argument on relationships. Her subtle confirmation of their marital issues came when she posted Christmas family photos without her husband.
