Nollywood star, Iyabo Ojo, has joined the chorus of celebrities expressing concern over the escalating hardships in the country.
In response to the government’s decision to provide N8,000 monthly to impoverished Nigerians, Iyabo Ojo questioned whether the people of Nigeria have the resilience to endure until they can finally experience what she referred to as an “imaginary Renewed Hope.”
As a single mother of two, she keenly observed the prevailing hunger gripping the nation, dismissing the government’s palliative plan as inadequate and insufficient. To her, the proposed 8,000 Naira monthly support for the poor appears to be nothing more than a mere joke and a gesture that falls short of addressing the pressing issues at hand.
Her heartfelt message serves as a poignant reminder of the urgent need for more comprehensive and sustainable solutions to the challenges faced by the people, highlighting the gravity of the situation and the collective responsibility to find genuine ways to alleviate the hardships experienced by many in the country.
