Nollywood’s emerging producer and actor, Seyi Bonimo, recently took to social media to voice his disappointment with veteran colleagues Rasak Olayiwola (commonly known as Ojopagogo) and his wife, Moji Afolayan, accusing them of deceitful behavior.
In a video that quickly went viral, Seyi Bonimo claimed that he had entered into an agreement with the couple to collaborate on a movie project. However, he alleged that Ojopagogo and Moji Afolayan repeatedly postponed the shooting date, using various excuses to prolong the delay.
To add to his frustrations, Seyi Bonimo revealed that he had even sent an additional thirty thousand naira to Ojopagogo to assist with his transportation expenses, as Ojopagogo complained about the rising fuel prices.
To his surprise, Seyi Bonimo received a call from Ojopagogo later, informing him that he was already on the set of a different movie titled “Anikulapo,” despite their prior agreement to work on a different project. As a result of this unexpected development, Seyi Bonimo had to find another renowned Nollywood actor to fill the role, incurring additional costs.
Although Moji Afolayan refunded a portion of the money owed to Seyi Bonimo, she withheld ten thousand naira, refusing to return it.
Frustrated by the situation, Seyi Bonimo reached out to industry authorities seeking resolution, but unfortunately, none were able to compel Ojopagogo and Moji Afolayan to refund the money.
Seyi Bonimo’s grievances struck a chord with other Nollywood actors who shared similar experiences within the industry. Many expressed their frustration, highlighting the lack of individuals willing to stand up for truth and justice in such situations.
