Comedian Camo, through his initiative called “Let’s Appreciate Our Legends,” has once again brought Abijah to the forefront of everyone’s attention on social media.
It is evident that Abijah’s current condition is far from satisfactory. He began his acting career in 1972 alongside the late renowned actor Ogungbe. According to Abijah, he no longer has the physical strength to continue due to the lack of transportation options available to him.
In a plea to his social media fans, Abijah called upon their support to help him secure at least a means of transportation. He expressed his urgent need for assistance.
It is worth mentioning that a video recently surfaced online featuring Kamo, the popular comedian known as “Nepa Boys,” and Fatai Adekunle Adetayo, also known as Lalude, on a movie set. In the video, Kamo, speaking in the Yoruba language, earnestly appealed to his fans to generously contribute towards providing Lalude with a car, enabling him to discontinue relying on motorcycles for transportation.
Recalling a recent event, it is worth noting that a sum of 4.6 million naira was successfully raised to support veteran actress Iya Gbonkan in completing her house and acquiring a car for herself. This achievement was made possible through the collaborative efforts of popular prophet Gabriel and others.
The call for assistance for Abijah echoes the growing awareness and efforts within the entertainment industry to uplift and support veteran actors who have contributed immensely to the art form.
