Renowned Yoruba Nollywood actor, Alhaja Yinka Quadri, recently shared his thoughts after returning to Nigeria following the successful completion of his Hajj pilgrimage.
Quadri took to social media to express his gratitude to God for the safe journey back home from the Holy Land. Along with a video and photo documenting his trip, he extended his appreciation for the journey’s success.
In his heartfelt message, the accomplished actor prayed for humanity’s salvation from the “chastisement of fire,” imploring God for mercy and the opportunity for all to enter paradise. He beseeched, “Our Lord! Grant us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and save us from the chastisement of fire, and allow us to enter Paradise with the righteous ones. O Glorious One! O All Forgiving! O Lord of the Universe!”
Yinka Quadri’s marital life was also a topic of discussion. In a previous interview, he revealed why he chose to have only one wife despite the permissibility of multiple marriages in his religion and his prominence in the Yoruba movie industry.
The actor explained that he has been with his current wife since 1985, and they have remained committed to one another. Prior to their marriage, he had a child with someone else, but the relationship proved incompatible. After several years of struggling, their parents ultimately advised them to separate. Following their separation, Quadri met his wife, Nike, in 1985, and they began building a family together in 1989. She remains the only woman in his household.
