Late Dagrin’s mother has made an emotional plea for financial assistance, expressing her poor condition 13 years after the death of her son, the indigenous rapper Dagrin. In a video that has gone viral, she shares her struggles and seeks help from Nigerians.
Despite her old age, Dagrin’s mother reveals that she sells food by the roadside as a means of livelihood. However, the income she generates is insufficient to adequately support her family. To make ends meet, she mentions avoiding certain areas to prevent recognition by certain individuals.
While suggestions have been made for her to seek help from renowned Afrobeats artists such as Davido or Olamide, she hesitates. She considers them as her own children, finding it difficult to beg them for financial assistance.
Expressing her sadness over her impoverished state, Dagrin’s mother appeals for suitable accommodation for her family. She implores Nigerians to contribute between N3 million to N5 million to help her establish a business.
In her plea, she shares, “Please, I am poor and I want Nigerians to come and help me. I currently sell food by the roadside, but the stress is too much, and I am getting really old. I need accommodation. Please, Nigerians, I need around N3 million to N5 million. I can’t go and beg rapper Olamide for money because it is somehow, as he is not an elder. I look at him like a son.”
