Nollywood actress and box office sensation Funke Akindele has penned a heartfelt letter to the public as her latest film, Everybody Loves Jenifa (ELJ), achieves a remarkable milestone.
The film has shattered records, grossing an impressive N500 million within just 12 days of its release. This achievement makes ELJ the highest-grossing Nollywood film of 2024, further cementing Funke Akindele’s reputation as a powerhouse in the Nigerian film industry.
In her letter, the actress expressed gratitude to fans, colleagues, and stakeholders who contributed to the movie’s success, describing the milestone as a dream come true.
Funke took to her Instagram page to thank God and the people for their love and support. She asked God to provide them all blessings.
She wrote:
Thank you Lord!! Thank you everyone!!! I couldn’t have done this without your love and support!!!! God bless you all!!
Funke was thrilled when her tickets for the UK premiere at Odeon Cinemas sold out in a matter of minutes just last week. As she revealed that additional screens had been added to suit the many requests, the movie star, unable to control her joy, showed love for her supporters and admirers in the UK.
