The pair claims that there were significant hurdles encountered throughout the film’s production. 1. Lateef Put His Car Up For Sale
Funding for the movie was a lot for ‘Lisabi’ which producer Lateef Adedimeji reveals. In fact, the budget was way more than he expected, so much so that he actually put his car up for sale. Lateef said:
LATEEF ADEDIMEJI: We had a particular budget for this film and we had to spend like times 5 of it. It was tough. Extremely tough. At a point, I told my wife but eventually we didn’t do it, I put up my car already for sale, that ‘ogbeni if I get somebody wey go buy this car now’, but luckily for me, I no see buyer. I was able to get help from few people. Like I asked ‘can you buy this car?I need money,’ and then they said ‘instead of me to buy it from you, how much are you looking for?
