Nollywood actress Wumi Toriola wrote a heartfelt letter of thanks to Nigerians Following the success of her debut film, Queen Lateefah,
“It was a great experience exploring the wider market, which has been a learning curve for me,” she wrote in a post on her Instagram page, characterizing the event as worthy, humbling, and meaningful.
As she described how what began as an unsure notion developed into something larger than she could have anticipated, Wumi revealed how overwhelmed she was by the love and reception. Wumi expressed gratitude to everyone who showed up to support her, her coworkers, and her cast and crew.

It was a worthy, humbling and impactful experience. Oh yes! A great experience exploring the wider market and to be very honest, it was a learning curve for me.

Having recorded the success QUEEN LATEEFAH attained at the cinemas, l am beyond overwhelmed with the love and reception. What started as an uncertain idea blossomed into something greater than I could have imagined.
The smiles! Happy times had by the audience. This memory I’ll never forget! I remember and greatly miss seeing the beautiful smile and satisfaction on people’s faces after watching QUEEN LATEEFAH.
