Reason Why I Witnessed Two Failed Marriages But Regret Leaving My Husband – Lola Alao Spill

Actress Lola Alao has opened up about the factors that led to the breakdown of her two marriages.

In a recent interview with Biola Adebayo on Talk-to-B, Alao shared insights into the personal challenges and experiences that contributed to her separations from her former husbands.

She candidly admitted that her own impatience was a significant factor in the breakdowns.

“I didn’t have patience, I was never patient.

“I’ve had two failed marriages. I put myself down because I am very caring just as my mother taught me. But I don’t have patience,” she said.

The actress noted that one of the most difficult moments for her was when her ex-husband cheated on her right in front of her, a betrayal that broke her trust and forced her to leave.

“I was very nice to my husband, I was very caring but when he cheated. I told him to get out,” she said.

Looking back, Lola said she realised that if she had been more patient, her life might have been different.

Still, she stated that she has no regrets about her decisions, as keeping her dignity was more important than staying in a harmful relationship.

“Maybe I should have been patient, but I don’t have any regret concerning that,” the movie star said.

She encouraged married women to remember that while facing challenges in marriage is necessary, it should never mean sacrificing one’s dignity.

For her, staying in a toxic relationship was harder than the freedom that comes from leaving.

In June 2002, Lola exchanged wedding vows with an automobile dealer, Dare Ogunlana.

They gave birth to a daughter Damilola.

Several years later, they broke up. In 2013, the actress tied the knot with Adewale Ajibola.

Their wedding took place in Atlanta, USA. About a year later, the marriage ended with a divorce.
