Fast rising actress Afolashade Omodesire popularly known as Yosibi has announced her engagement ceremony.
The Yoruba actress took to her Instagram page to share photos of her engagement with a funny look that she is still frowning on her big day.
Many of her fans reacted that it was a joke while some congratulated her on her engagement.
She wrote: “Congratulations on your engagement, darling 🎉🎉😍😍😍😍😍. You still dey frown on your engagement day 🤩🤩🤩.”
Naijalegit news recalls that Yosibi in Saamu Alajo shared her humble beginnings during an interview.
During the interview with Oyinmomotv, she was asked when her fame started. She replied that she couldn’t say exactly when it happened, but there was a time when her boss, Odunlade Adekola, called her and asked if she had been going out and if people started recognizing her, telling her they know her from the movies. She replied, “Yes, sir.”
He then told her not to be proud about it and to make sure to laugh and appreciate anyone who recognized her work, no matter her mood at that moment.
The interviewer further asked, “Does your husband also call you Yosibi?” She laughed and replied, “My husband doesn’t even remember my real name anymore; all he calls me is Yosibi.”
When asked how she felt about living in a society where everyone wants to be fair-skinned to get more movie roles, and how she maintains her dark complexion, she replied, “I am proud of my color because black is beautiful and it doesn’t crack. I don’t need to change who I am or my skin color.”
