Nollywood actress Olayinka Solomon recently took to social media to express her concerns regarding the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA) and the absence of her ex-husband and colleague, Ibrahim Chatta, from the nomination list.
Sharing photos of Ibrahim Chatta’s outstanding performance in Femi Adebayo’s movie “Ageshinloke, King of Thieves,” Yinka Solomon conveyed her disappointment over his omission from the AMVCA nominations. She highlighted Ibrahim Chatta’s versatility as an actor and believed that his exceptional roles in “Ageshinloke” deserved recognition.
Directing her query towards the organizers of the awards, Yinka urged them to clarify the criteria for winning and shed light on why Ibrahim Chatta was not included in the nominations. In an Instagram post, she wrote, “Imagine!!! Why would Ibrahim Chatta be excluded from the nomination of AMVCA in the first place? When we talk about a versatile actor, let’s give it to Ibrahim Chatta, especially in his roles in AGESHINKOLE. Please let’s understand the criteria for winning these Awards @amvca @multichoice_group.”
