“Oruko Awon Ibeji Wa Ni……”- Ooni of Ife and wife, Olori Tobi Phillips reveal the names of their twins (Video)

The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, and his third wife, Olori Tobi Phillips, have revealed the names of their twins to the general public.

It is no longer news that the monarch and his third wife welcomed twins last weekend. According to traditions, 8 days after delivering the set of twins, the Ooni christened his babies.

The Royal twins were named according to the Ile Ife tradition and culture. For Taiye, who is a princess, her names are Adesewa, Oreade, and Oluwatamilore Ejide Ogunwusi.

For Kehinde, the prince, he was christened Adeshina, Oreade, Ejide, Oluwasemilore Ogunwusi.

In a clip captured online, Olori Tobi Phillips was seen reading out the names of the twins from a paper with members of the palace in sight. Noticeably absent was the Ooni.

According to reports, due to tradition, Ooni cannot see his twins for now.

Last weekend, the Ooni, via his Instagram page, announced the birth of his twins with a photo of him and his third wife, ex-beauty queen Olori Tobi Phillips. Expressing gratitude to God for the great blessing, he announced the arrival of their twins.

The Ooni mentioned that his wife and their twins were doing well, to the glory of God.

In addition, Olori Tobi took to her Instagram page to share photos from her baby shower, expressing gratitude to God for her blessings. She revealed that God had given her double for her trouble and encouraged others to watch and allow Him to do His work. From the baby shower photos, it was evident that the Queen had welcomed a boy and a girl.

Thank you for refreshing my memory. Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi got married to Tobi Phillips on Sunday, October 9th, 2022. Although the Ooni wasn’t present, he sent his guards, chief, and royal staff to the wedding ceremony.

Last year, Olori Tobi Phillips celebrated their first anniversary with stunning photos, expressing gratitude for 365 days of grace with her love. She professed her love for her husband, stating their journey together was a lifetime to go.

In an interview with TVC’s ‘Your View’, Olori Tobi opened up about how she met the Ooni. She revealed that a mutual friend had introduced her to the monarch, and their chemistry kicked off. However, they couldn’t get married at that time due to various interferences, which was quite devastating.

In what appears to be a message to those who speculate that she married the monarch for money, Olori Tobi stated that she made the decision to marry for love, which is why she accepted to be the King’s third wife.

The former beauty queen also shared how she patiently waited for 8 years before eventually becoming Queen.

The King is married to six wives: Olori Mariam, Olori Elizabeth Akinmuda, Olori Tobi Phillips, Olori Ashley, Olori Ronke, and Olori Temitope.

While celebrating his 48th birthday and seventh coronation anniversary, the Ooni clarified why he married Mariam Anako and the others, explaining that he attempted to implement certain changes but couldn’t due to the traditional heritage of Ile Ife.
