Nollywood actress Biodun Okeowo, also known as Omoborty, has vehemently denied the allegations of being romantically involved with former Senator Dino Melaye, as claimed in a recently surfaced audiotape.
The audiotape, which went viral, featured Biodun Okeowo and another actress named Miwa, supposedly discussing their romantic relationships with Dino Melaye. In the tape, fellow actress Iyabo Ojo warned Dino Melaye to end his involvement with the two actresses, threatening to curse him or withhold intimacy.
In response to these allegations, Biodun Okeowo took to her Instagram page to address the issue. She clarified that she has never dated the former Senator, despite having taken pictures with him.
In a post on Instagram, she wrote, “A few days ago, I became aware of an audio recording circulating on social media, which I also listened to myself. It alleged that I was romantically involved with Dino Melaye. I was shocked to hear about insinuations of snatching him from my colleague and being in a romantic relationship with him.
Considering my current commitments to my businesses and acting career, I could have chosen to ignore and remain silent about it. However, I decided against such action as my silence might be misconstrued as consent, giving credibility to the allegations.”
