TAMPAN Unveils Plans for Post-Burial Tributes and Prayers in Memory of Murphy Afolabi
In a recent announcement made by The Theatre Arts and Movies Production Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN), details have emerged regarding the post-burial tributes and prayers dedicated to the late actor, Murphy Afolabi.
According to an official statement shared online, an Artistes Night has been organized on Sunday, May 21st, to be held at LTV8 (blue roof) from 3 pm to 8 pm. This event aims to gather actors and filmmakers, inviting them to join in honoring the memory of Murphy Afolabi.
Additionally, on Monday, May 22nd, Fidau prayers will be conducted at the same venue. This gathering provides an opportunity for friends, family, and well-wishers to come together and pay their respects in remembrance of Murphy Afolabi.

Sunday, May 21st: Artistes Night at LTV8 (blue roof) from 3 pm to 8 pm. All actors/filmmakers are expected to be present.

Yoruba Actress Murphy Afolabi’s Demise
Recalling the unfortunate loss in the Yoruba film industry, one of its beloved stars has passed away. Murphy Afolabi, the actor in question, met an untimely demise after reportedly falling in his bathroom and sustaining a fatal head injury. Known for his remarkable talent, Murphy Afolabi had established himself as a prominent figure within the Yoruba movie industry.
Adeniyi Johnson shared a post referring to “Black Sunday,” leaving it open to interpretation whether someone has passed away or not. Many of Murphy Afolabi’s fans expressed their belief that he was the one who had tragically departed.
