Disorder ensued on Monday afternoon in Mopelufa, Adamo, situated in the Ikorodu area of Lagos State. This unfortunate incident took place during the burial ceremony of the esteemed Yoruba actor, Murphy Afolabi, when a group of young individuals prevented Bolaji Amusan, popularly known as Mr Latin, from accessing the burial site.
The youths, who identified themselves as “omo adugbo,” demanded financial compensation from Mr Latin before granting him permission to enter the burial ground. Mr Latin, who holds the position of President of the Theatre Arts and Movies Practitioners Association of Nigeria, arrived at the location around 3:00 PM.
Thankfully, the issue was eventually resolved, and Mr Latin was granted entry to Afolabi’s burial ground. At the time of reporting, the body of the deceased had not yet arrived at the venue for burial.
