Groom-to-be passes away after brief illness, to be buried on his wedding day (Photos)

Tragically, Nsidibe Aniekan Davies, a groom-to-be, has departed after a short illness, mere days before his scheduled wedding. The man was set to marry his fiancée, Peace Eyibio Etim, on November 11th, 2023, at Eyibio’s family compound in Ikot Anse Itam Itu L.G.A, Akwa Ibom state.

Heartbreakingly, a friend shared the devastating news on Facebook, recounting that the deceased had been suffering from headaches. Following a hospital visit, he was diagnosed with malaria but regrettably passed away shortly thereafter.

Peace expressed her profound grief as she made a solemn announcement on her social media page about the burial arrangements for her intended groom, which tragically coincided with their originally planned wedding day.

In a heartbreaking turn of events, she found herself sharing a photo that was initially meant for their pre-wedding pictures to convey the obituary of her beloved.

Peace shared a poignant message, saying, “This picture was meant to be our pre-wedding photo, but you’re no longer with us. You passed away right in front of me. You always used to tell me that November 11th would be a special day, our wedding day. My young husband, you’ve left me heartbroken. Who will call me ‘Ima mi,’ ‘Ima Nsiko,’ ‘adiaha eka mi’… My youthful husband, I miss you, my beloved. May your soul find eternal peace, my dearest.”
