In a related development, Mohbad’s father, Mr. Joseph Aloba, has shed light on the swift burial of the late singer.
During a recent interview, Mr. Joseph Aloba explained that Yoruba culture dictates that a deceased person should be buried promptly, especially when both of their parents are still alive. He mentioned that if Mohbad had passed away at an older age, the possibility of keeping his remains in a mortuary might have been considered.
Aloba further revealed that Mohbad was the owner of the land where he was buried and had given it to him to build a church. He stated, “In Yoruba land, it is not customary to keep the corpse when both parents are still alive. That land where Mohbad was buried is his only land, the only one I knew he owned.”
He continued, “Indeed, he gave me the land to build my church because we had mutually agreed to establish the church there, and that’s the only land I knew him to possess.”
