Why Awujale Of Ijebuland choose me to become Olori Omooba of Ijebu Kingdom- Wasiu Ayinde
Legendary singer King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, also known as Kwam1, has disclosed the reason why he was chosen by Ọba Sikiru Kayọde Adetọna, the Awujale Of Ijebuland, to become the Olori Omooba of Ijebu Kingdom.
It should be remembered that Wasiu Ayinde assumed a significant role after being honored with the prestigious title of Olori Omoba of Akile Ijebu by the paramount ruler of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Adetona, during the last Ojude Oba festival.
The Olori Omoba title is a symbol of pride and distinction in Ijebuland, previously held by the distinguished Nigerian and founder of First City Monument Bank, Otunba Subomi Balogun, who recently passed away at the age of 89.
Kwam1’s new role as Olori Omoba entails upholding the culture and traditions of the Ijebu people and actively participating in tasks related to the community’s development.
In a recent interview, the Fuji singer reveals the reason behind Ọba Sikiru Adetọna bestowing upon him this prestigious title.
