Popular Nigerian actress Ayonimofe Onibiyo, also known as Aolat, has shared her childbirth journey on her Instagram account after welcoming a baby boy.
She recounted the challenges she faced, including a stillbirth and a miscarriage, before finally celebrating the birth of her son. Aolat expressed her gratitude to God for bringing happiness into her life after enduring such difficulties.
She shared her incredible journey, writing:
“I survived the labor room 💃🏾 One stillbirth, One Miscarriage
God decided to put a big smile on my face. This is how it all started 😊 after all the trials my husband and I had been through, sleepless nights, hospital appointments, and more.
Last December, we decided to leave everything in God’s hands, and boom, in January, God answered our silent prayers.
In January, everything was fine, and I was so happy. In February, I went to London, and we were already planning how I would give birth in the US. A few days after my stay in London, I told my husband I was having pains I couldn’t even explain. We were both worried, and in my mind, I was thinking something else. The only thing I was concerned about was begging God to keep me safe and sound because I’ve really suffered and been through a lot. So, I returned to Nigeria for my first scan, and the doctor said I had fibroids, and it’s possible they were affecting the baby 😭. That was the beginning of the whole ordeal.
I underwent several tests, and they put me on medication. I cried my eyes out because after all the stress I had been through, I did a full-body test, and fibroids didn’t show up, so why now, God?
Four months into the pregnancy, I started experiencing severe pains, and I was rushed to the hospital again. At this point, the pain was unbearable for me.
But God still showed up for me as His favorite child. Two doctors attended to me, and I was told not to sleep on my left side as the fibroid was threatening the baby. If you have fibroids during pregnancy, you will understand what I’m talking about. The pain was severe. I could hardly sleep, sit, or stand for too long. I went through hell, but through it all, I kept praising God because I knew that if I could make it to the fifth month, then He was with me.
Wait for the concluding part 😊💃🏾💃🏾
In conclusion, the actress shared how she reached out to some people during her difficult times but was ignored. She expressed her heartfelt gratitude to God, her family, and a few friends who supported her throughout this challenging journey.”
In the concluding part of her post, she wrote:
“A lot of people were angry with me, mostly some of my colleagues. You all don’t have the idea of the pains I was going through; I was fighting for my dear life.
I managed to reach out to a few people that I was sick, but I was being ignored 😊.
This really breaks my heart because I was in pain, and these people were acting up.
On my baby’s dedication day, I was at the hospital receiving treatment just to alleviate the pains I was going through.
I want to use this opportunity to thank my God, Adeeda mi, tio je ki ori mi gbabode, and my husband, oko mi, my beloved daughter @mimi4joy1, my kid sister @bestwigsandskincare, for their unconditional love and absolute support throughout this journey.
From one pain to another; today fibroid pain, tomorrow swollen legs, next tomorrow I can’t breathe properly, another day headache and palm swollen, but God didn’t leave me for me.
God, the game changer, who stood by me throughout this 9-month journey, my family, and a few friends that showed me nothing but pure love, God bless you all.”
