As part of our new Co-operation Agreement effort with the William Hill Championship team, Dundee United can reveal that Academy graduates Sam Cleall-Harding, Scott Constable, and Calvin Beattie will be allowed to represent Airdrieonians during the 2025–2026 season.
SPFL clubs voted in favour of implementing the new structure for 2025–2026 in order to improve youth development, in accordance with the SFA’s Transition Report’s recommendations.

Under the program, players in the crucial “transition phase” (16–21 years old) are allowed to alternate between a lower-league team and their parent club at any time during the season, increasing their chances of playing for the first team.

Last season, Cleall-Harding and Constable had successful periods with Kelty Hearts and Stirling Albion, respectively, while Beattie, 17, will make his senior debut at Excelsior Stadium.
Throughout the season, Jim Goodwin will be able to call on all three of them.
