Cambridge United FC and Birmingham City FC have been sanctioned by an independent regulatory body for the large-scale altercation that occurred during their EFL League One match on Saturday, May 3.
Both teams were accused of failing to make sure that their players and/or those using the technical area didn’t act inappropriately or provocatively near the tunnel area at halftime.
After a hearing, the Regulatory Commission fined Cambridge United FC £5,000 and issued a warning after the club acknowledged the complaint.
After the hearing, Birmingham City FC was fined £20,000 and given a warning after the Regulatory Commission determined that the charge was proven.
