Swansea City winger Zeidane Inoussa has delivered a blunt message to his teammates, insisting that the Swans must develop a ruthless streak if they are to mount a serious Championship promotion challenge.

Following Swansea’s frustrating 1-1 draw against Millwall, Inoussa admitted that the squad had let another opportunity slip away. “We can’t keep dominating games and then failing to finish teams off,” he said. “If we want to be in the top six, we have to be ruthless. No excuses, no second chances — we need to kill matches when we’re on top.”

His comments underline a growing sense of urgency at the club, as manager Luke Williams looks for sharper performances in the final third. Swansea have enjoyed spells of good football but too often dropped points from winning positions, something Inoussa insists must change immediately.

Meanwhile, in North Wales, Lewis O’Brien has explained why he chose Wrexham over a potential permanent switch to Swansea. The midfielder, who spent last season on loan at the Liberty Stadium, admitted the decision was not easy but ultimately came down to Wrexham’s ambitious project.

“I had good conversations with Swansea, and I’ll always be grateful for my time there,” O’Brien said. “But when I met with Phil Parkinson and the Wrexham ownership, it was clear they had a vision that excited me. They want to push for the Premier League, and being part of that journey felt like the right move for my career.”

O’Brien’s switch to the Racecourse Ground will add Premier League experience to Wrexham’s midfield, while Swansea are now expected to pursue alternative targets before the January window closes.
