“I Sight You Bro”- 2025 Grammy Awards: Tems Responds to Davido’s Congratulations on Her Best African Music Performance Win

Grammy Award-winning singer Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems, has responded to Davido after he congratulated her on winning the Best African Music Performance category.

The Try Me crooner secured her second Grammy Award at the recently concluded 67th Grammy Awards, held on Sunday, January 2, 2025, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, USA, despite the ongoing wildfires affecting parts of the city.

Tems further cemented her place on the global music scene by winning the prestigious award for her hit song Love Me Jeje, marking another milestone in her career.

Tems surpassed Tomorrow by Yemi Alade, MMS by Asake featuring Wizkid, Sensational by Chris Brown featuring Davido and Lojay, and Higher by Burna Boy.

After losing the Grammy Award to Tems, singer Davido—who has received four nominations without yet securing a win—displayed grace and sportsmanship by taking to his verified X page to congratulate her.

Davido wrote; “Congratulations to my one and only 🐐 ! @chrisbrown ! And to the Queen @temsbaby we are proud of you! 💪🏾🌎⭐️.”

However, Tems after seeing the congratulatory message from Davido wasted no time in replying the superstar Afrobeats sensation as she thanks him for congratulating her.

Tems replied; “Thank you so much 🙏🏿🙏🏿.”
