“I Almost Quit Acting After L0sing Over ₦2 Million on a Movie Production Without Support from My Colleagues” – Actor Moshood Mayegun Reveals in Emotional Interview

Popular Yoruba actor Moshood Mayegun has opened up about some of the toughest challenges he has faced in the film industry, including the financial setback that nearly made him quit.

In an interview shared on Oyinmomo TV’s official YouTube channel, he revealed that he once lost a significant amount of money while producing a quality movie. The experience was so disheartening that he seriously considered walking away from filmmaking altogether.

In his statement, he said, “It is not all the movies that I have produced that I have made a profit from, but I’m always determined not to lose money when I make my own movies. 

When I produced one of my movies, the movie was so good to the extent that people called me from abroad, and they sent me money. I wanted to stop film making when I lost the 2 million naira I used to produce a good movie.”

Nollywood actor and filmmaker Lateef Adedimeji is gearing up again for another blockbuster movie with his wife, Mo Bimpe as he teased a new project with Ekiti State government.

Taking to his Instagram page and Twitter page, he revealed that he and his wife had the privilege of spending quality time with the Governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Oyebanji. He praised the state for enhancing arts, culture, and creative economy and noted how his wife is a daughter of the soil

Speaking about their meeting, Lateef revealed that the meeting focuses on collaborative efforts with the State government in its culture and creative economy endeavors. He expressed overjoyed he and Mo Bimpe are to be a huge part of the revolution.

Lateef went on to thank the Governor and his cabinet for the meeting as he promised to keep telling our stories and promoting our culture.

“We had the privilege of spending quality time with his excellency, Governor Biodun Oyebanji, the executive Governor of Ekiti State; it was a great feeling for us because my beautiful wife is a daughter of the soil.

Ekiti state is ENHANCING ARTS, CULTURE, AND CREATIVE ECONOMY. Present at the meeting were the Chief of Staff, Mr Niyi Adebayo; the Commissioner for Arts, Culture and Creative Economy, Prof Rasak Ojo Bakare; and other top officials.

This meeting focused on collaborative efforts with the state government in its arts, culture, and creative economy endeavors, and it’s a thing of joy that my wife and I will be a huge part of this revolution.
