Yoruba actress Nafisat Abolade recently opened up about her experience working on a film set without receiving payment from an actor. During an interview on Oyinmomo TV’s official YouTube channel, she revealed how she faced this challenge and why she chose not to confront the actor about the issue.
Reflecting on her early days in the Yoruba movie industry, Nafisat stated, “When I joined the Yoruba movie industry, I was accepted and welcomed by the actors. One of the challenges I faced was working for free for some actors while trying to make myself known to the audience.”
Despite the setback, she expressed gratitude for her growth and recognition in the industry over time.
I worked for an actor on a movie set, but he didn’t pay me, and I can’t challenge him. What I discovered is that it is impossible to be paid the same amount that’s been paid to popular actors when you are still a newbie in the movie industry.”
